Soprano Sofia Livotov

Sofia Livotov has a keen interest in contemporary music, but her taste for it breaks the borders of Western music. Yes, she is a wonderful Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Pamina in Mozart’s Zauberflöte, or Sophie in Strauss’ Rosenkavalier. She has been noticed for her interpretations of Lieder by Beat Furrer, Wolfgang Riehm, and others. What caught our attention was her interest in music by Asian composers. So we selected her interpretation of Malam Indah composed by Sjafii Embut. With her on stage pianist Yohanes Siem and tenor Satriya Krisna.
