William Garfield Walker is not one to sit still, not even during a lockdown. He did not expect to be stuck in Vienna in Spring 2020, but the COVID19 crisis and travel restrictions made it difficult for the young American conductor to travel and to fulfill his obligations. Ever the entrepreneur he founded a new orchestra, the Nova Orchester Wien (NOW!), and managed to ensure its first stunning performances. He has a strong interest in the music of the Cold War.
